Your business data security is paramount. With Studiometry Cloud, security and privacy are a major focus in the development and management of the system. Your data is protected using the following systems and methods.
Monitoring
All systems, networked devices, and circuits are constantly monitored by both Oranged Software and the co-location providers.
Protection
Our network is protected by redundant layer 7 firewalls, best-in-class router technology, secure HTTPS transport over public networks, regular audits, and network intrusion detection/prevention technologies (IDS/IPS) that monitor and block malicious traffic and network attacks.
Network vulnerability scanning
Network security scanning gives us deep insight for quick identification of out-of-compliance or potentially vulnerable systems.
Intrusion detection and prevention
Major application data flow ingress and egress points are monitored with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) or Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS). The systems are configured to generate alerts when incidents and values exceed predetermined thresholds, and use regularly updated signatures based on new threats. This includes 24/7 system monitoring.
DDoS mitigation
In addition to our own capabilities and tools, we contract with on-demand DDoS scrubbing providers to mitigate Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
Encryption
Communications between you and Studiometry Cloud servers are encrypted via industry best-practices HTTPS and Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Uptime
We maintain publicly available system-status messages via our Twitter account that include system availability details, scheduled maintenance, service incident history, and relevant security events. Since being first opened to the public in October 2015, Studiometry Cloud has achieved over 99.98% uptime.
Disaster recovery
Our disaster recovery program ensures that our services remain available or are easily recoverable in the case of a disaster. This is accomplished through building a robust technical environment, creating disaster recovery plans, and testing.
Local database recovery
Your Studiometry Cloud database is stored locally on your machines and devices, giving you access to the database in the event of an internet or Studiometry Cloud outage, and also providing automatic backups of all data on your secured machine.
Access privileges & roles
Access to data within your Studiometry Cloud is governed by access rights, and can be configured to define granular access privileges. These are set on a per-employee level, giving or restricting access to various features and sections across all Studiometry apps.
